1986 BMW K75C

This is my 1986 K75C. Richard Riegler took this picture in Gorham, ME at Checkpoint 4 of the 1995 Iron Butt Rally! The bike currently has over 65K miles and runs GREAT!!!

1968 BMW R50/2

This was my 1968 R50/2. It was my first moto restoration. I purchased the bike (along with two other R50's) from the original owner. The bike only had 13K miles on it, but due to the poor storage technique, required a complete teardown and rebuild. After completion, I brought the bike to the National Rally in Moodus, CT. While it was on display in the Vintage tent, I received a truly great offer of $9000.00 for the bike and sold it!

1976 R90S

After selling the R50 (see above), I needed another bike to restore. A friend of mine, Darrell Messerle, happened to have this bike, but it was completely apart! Darrell used to be a BMW Dealer in Illinois, and when he first opened, THIS 90S was the VERY FIRST bike he ever sold! He bought it back from the original owner and decided to restore the bike. He got as far as adding a Factory Sport cam (336 D) and painting the frame. The bike then stayed apart for almost 6 years. That is until I was able to pry it out of his hands!!! The total restoration took about 8 months, and I feel that it is probably one of the most correct 90S's around! I put about 3K miles on this bike since I've completed the resto!

The second picture was taken at The 2nd Annual Larz Anderson Classic, where the bike won its class, BMW 1970-1984 (Plaque), and Best German Motorcycle (Silver Bowl).

The final picture was taken by my buddy Doug Morrison as we blasted across the flats of Eastern Utah, enroute to Durango for the National!

BMW R90S Engine

Before we installed the engine in the frame, Darrell and I decided to try and duplicate some "Phactory" photos! What do you think?

1959 BMW R26

This is my R26 the day I brought it home! Pretty rough, and wouldn't run, but it was all there and CHEAP!!! Right now it's all apart, and the restoration has started in Earnest! Watch this space for the after shot, sometime in 1996 (hopefully in time for Morganton!)
