I was born in Kharkov in 1931. Both of my parents were journalists.
In 1934, our government moved the capital and the most of newspapers from Kharkov to Kiev. So, my parents moved to Kiev with me as well. After that, and
until my family's emigration in the fall of 1991, I had left Kiev only for three first years of World War II.
I graduated from Kiev University as a physicist and from Moscow Oil & Gas Institute with a Ph.D. degree . I worked in the field of Research & Development in a big plant near Moscow, then in Ukrainian Institute of Physics, then in Ukrainian State Oil Institute. As a scientist, I was interested in the electromagnetic scattering on spherical polydispersions; as an engineer I developed the automatic devices of oil quality control based on effects of scattering light. I wrote about a hundred scientific articles, some books, fifteen patents, and a midsize mountain of scientific reports.
My wife's name is Tatyana (Tanya). She is my boss, my driver, and my cashier. Our children are: Pavel and Lena, Olga and Alex. We have two grandchildren: Masha and Alex, who helps me handle MY Pages.
In 1991, all of us left Kiev for the USA. At present time, I am a retired man, a big fan of Internet, slowly walking throughout the Web, slightly tapping its links with my cane.
If you want to know more about me, you can read Autobiography. Its list of contents is adduced on the left side of this Page. Also, you can read my four articles about The Jewish Internet, and I hope you can find something useful there.
